Brazilian Mask

Materials
Recycled construction paper
Pieces of used cardboard
Non-toxic glue
Feathers, glitter, anything shiny
Non-toxic markers or soy crayons
Stick, piece of old wood, or elastic (I used balsa wood, an eco friendly wood) |
Directions
- Cut out your preferred shape for a mask out of the construction paper.
- Decorate with feathers, glitter, crayons and markers. (Most people decorate their masks to match their costumes/outfits.)
- Glue wood/stick to the back of mask for a handle or, if you prefer, attach elastic to each end of the mask.
- Glue cardboard to the back of construction paper, if using a wooden handle. This makes the mask sturdier.
*Another option for the mask is recycled poster board. It is thicker than construction paper and will not need the added backing of the cardboard.
